    Based on the requirements on high frequency and high quality for next-generation mobile communication, controlling interferential signal is very important. On the one hand, we need to control interference out of the communication channel, on the other hand, the mutual interference in the channel should be controlled well. In order to accomplish this object, we need to set high quality microwave dielectric filters into mobile communication base stations, therein, dielectric resonator plays a key role.

   Dielectric resonator is made up of low loss and high dielectric constant materials, widely used in a variety of microwave components. It has the following characteristics:
 
  • Small volume, the ceramic materials of high dielectric constant is conductive to the miniaturization of the dielectric filters, as small as 1/10 of the hollow waveguide or axial resonator’s.
  • High unloaded Qu value, it can reach from thousands to tens of thousands within the range 0.1-30GHz.
  • Basically no frequency limits, suitable for millimeter waves(higher than 100GHz)
  • Excellent temperature stability of resonant frequency.

   According to the resonant mode, there are two types of the Dielectric resonators made by GOVA: TE mode and TM mode. The upper limiting frequency can reach as high as dozens of GHz, and quality factor range is from thousands to tens of thousands, which are far higher than the resonators made up of other materials.
with a relatively high dielectric constant,  GOVA can make the components in miniature size to save circuit space; high quality factor Qu value and low dielectric loss, to ensure a good selection frequency characteristics and low insertion loss of the device; the temperature coefficient is small, in order to ensure the thermal stability of the device.
